Citrus Crime Writers – Chartered!

Citrus Crime Writers is officially a chartered chapter of Sisters in Crime Inc. (SinC) for Central Florida! Our President Kathleen Lopez has announced that she has only to mail back a copy of the charter for the final step in the process. We have a few housekeeping items to take care of, like getting a bank account for the chapter, finalizing our official logo, and making sure we are added to the SinC organization page.

Our Executive Board looks like this:
Kathleen Lopez, President
Laura Perez, Vice President
Charlotte Hunter, Secretary
Anthony Awtrey, Treasurer
Lucille Ponte, Web Maven

Congrats to all who have participated in developing our new chapter. Thank you so much for your support and assistance!

UK Stamps Salute Agatha Christie

Hey Mystery Writers! The U.K. Royal Mail Service is honoring Agatha Christie with stamps illustrating key scenes in six of her famous mysteries. The stamps offer hidden clues in microtext and UV and heat-sensitive inks for mystery-lovers. The stamps honor the 100th anniversary of the completion of her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, in which she created the inimitable Hercule Poirot. Enjoying checking out the story on Slate.com and see pictures of the cool stamps!!

Bouchercon Bound!

Two of our Citrus Crime Writers will be attending Boucheron 2016 in New Orleans in September–Olive Pollak and Francis Philpott Palmigiano. (bios and photos below) These accomplished writers will be sending us some missives about their experiences at Boucheron. Can’t wait to hear about their adventures!
