Guest Speaker – L.E. Perez
Often enough in storytelling, the characters in our little worlds get testy, one thing leads to another, and a fight breaks out. While we’ve all seen a fight (and hopefully not been a part of one), it may not translate to the page as accurately as it appears in the writer’s mind. Meet. L.E. Perez. Laura is our own chapter vice president, a prolific writer, oh and just happens to be a fourth degree black belt. Laura will be sharing her expertise on how to accurately depict a fight scene in works of fiction.

Writing about Unconventional Murder Weapons and Computers

Our March meeting included two great presentations.  CCW President and author Kat Lopez presented about spicing up your mystery novels with “Unconventional Murder Weapons”.  Her slides are below and provide links to various sources and YouTube 716rbgeiqpl__ux250_videos on this subject. Here are the slides for Unconventional Murder Weapons https://docs.google.com/…/1Dqc2UMK1yOZL04c3XagPeV_X1O…/edit…

The second presentation from CCW treasurer and author Anthony Awtrey examined “Writing about Computers” and how to include computers and tech lingo into our mystery writing in an effective and professional way.  Here are the slides for Writing About Computers, https://docs.google.com/…/18HL-2Oxl-XJ9HQnN0jimj_VoNi…/edit…TonyAwtrey
